As a faith community, Central Congregational UCC has made a commitment to praying and working toward The Decade of Overcoming Violence. On Fridays (especially between 10 am and 2 pm) we invite you to take time to intentionally pray for peace. Using the reflections included below, we invite you to join us at home, work, or in the sanctuary on Clairmont.
“You were at your best when I was at my worst.” Now those are words that speak of friendship, of kindness, of compassion, of balance, of holding on and letting go. I heard myself saying this to a friend today – and I thought – “Yep. That’s it. How wonderful to have such a friend. How wonderful to not be alone in the midst and the mess that comes to us sometimes.”
May it be so
in little and big ways around us –in these days
